The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), the world’s first franchise-based supercross league, has welcomed Indewheelers Motorsports Pvt. Ltd. as the newest franchise to join the grid for Season 2.

Indewheelers Motorsports, Pune’s second franchise, is expected to increase the league’s competitiveness while also strengthening the city’s previously established reputation as a national racing powerhouse. Founded by motorsport veteran Vikram Dhar and co-owned by young entrepreneur Ajay Agrawal, the team combines racing experience with next-generation business leadership and is poised to make its imprint on India’s elite Supercross league.

Vikram Dhar is a real trailblazer in the off-road motorsports scene, having been involved for more than two decades. He is the founder of MXSTORE.in, India’s premier off-road gear marketplace, and Indewheelers Motorsports, where he blends professional racing experience with corporate leadership. Vikram, an off-road enthusiast since 2006, is the 2017-18 Emirates Desert Championship Champion and has raced in a variety of terrains across the world, in addition to holding senior regional director positions in multinational organisations.

Co-owner Ajay Agrawal, a young entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant, combines acute financial acumen and worldwide distribution expertise, representing the next generation of leaders reshaping industries. Indewheelers Motorsports has also formed a partnership with the Arabian Coast Group, a multinational infrastructure company. This agreement demonstrates international investors’ rising interest in India’s burgeoning racing industry.

Vikram Dhar, Founder & Team Principal, said, “Our mission is to build India’s most respected, performance-driven Supercross team rooted in professionalism and passion. Indewheelers Motorsports aims to inspire the next generation of racers and contribute to the long-term growth of India’s motorsport ecosystem.”

ISRL is swiftly emerging as a cultural trend among India’s youth, combining high-octane activity with aspirational appeal. The arrival of Indewheelers racing as Pune’s second team, joining BB Racing, increases the city’s competitive depth while confirming its standing as a racing hotspot. With two teams, the city becomes a talent pipeline for Indian Supercross racing, increasing competitiveness and spectator involvement. This expansion develops young riders at the grassroots level, establishing the groundwork for India’s motorsport future, while also pushing infrastructural investments that place the city at the centre of India’s racing growth.

Eeshan Lokhande, Co-Founder & Director, ISRL, said “We are thrilled to welcome Indewheelers Motorsports to the ISRL family. Vikram and Ajay bring a perfect balance of motorsport passion and business vision, which aligns seamlessly with ISRL’s mission to create India’s most exciting and professional motorsports ecosystem. Their entry sets a strong benchmark for the growth of our league and inspires the next generation of racing enthusiasts.”

The Indian Supercross Racing League has already gained national interest, with Bollywood megastar Salman Khan serving as the league’s official Brand Ambassador and Investor.

Indewheelers Motorsports will make its debut as the league begins, strategically positioned at the crossroads of sports, entertainment, and business. With a common passion for racing excellence and an emphasis on developing a devoted fan base, the team is expected to play a pivotal role in ISRL’s continuing progress.

With season 2 beginning in October 2025, ISRL promises bigger races, improved spectator experiences, and unprecedented brand involvement. Franchise owners are now at the crossroads of sport, business, and entertainment, as India embraces racing as a mainstream commercial asset.
