The introduction of the Grassroots Initiative of the Year award underscores ISH’s commitment to supporting and fostering young talent. By acknowledging those who contribute significantly to grassroots sports, this award aims to inspire the next generation of athletes and motivate organisations to continue investing in sports at the community level.
Bunty Sajdeh, CEO of Cornerstone Sport said, “We’re thrilled to return with the fifth edition of Indian Sports Honours. This platform allows us to celebrate India’s finest sporting talent and share their journeys with a larger audience. Their journeys, combined with the support from fans, inspire us to make the event bigger and better every year.”
To ensure a fair and transparent selection, ISH has partnered with Ernst & Young LLP (EY) as its process advisors. EY will oversee and validate the selection and jury process, which benefits from expert inputs from the popular sports platform Sportskeeda.
A prestigious panel of sports icons will select the winners, led by India’s first Olympic gold medalist, Abhinav Bindra. Other distinguished jury members include PT Usha, Anjali Bhagwat, Vijender Singh, Yogeshwar Dutt, and Sardar Singh—all legends in their respective sports.
The Indian Sports Honours is more than an awards ceremony; it is a tribute to the dedication, resilience, and spirit of India’s sporting heroes. By bringing together the best in Indian sports, the ISH provides a platform to honour achievements, inspire young athletes, and foster a deeper connection between athletes and their fans. This year’s event promises to be a memorable evening, filled with inspiration and recognition for those who continue to raise the bar in Indian sports.
