The Indian Pickleball League (IPBL), the nation’s first official pickleball league, has collaborated with the Adani Group, one of India’s leading diversified conglomerates.
As part of the deal, the brand has become the ‘powered by partner’ for the inaugural season. The partnership combines the IPBL’s innovative league model with Adani’s established sporting skills, demonstrating a shared commitment to advancing the sport’s national growth.
The IPBL, founded by The Times Group and recognised as India’s official and only national pickleball league sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, will make its debut on December 1-7, 2025, at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi.
With pickleball developing as one of the globe’s most intriguing participation-led sports, the partnership with Adani reinforces IPBL’s vision of creating a new, contemporary sporting property based on accessibility, energy, and a growing fanbase, at a time when India is rapidly establishing itself as a rising force on the international stage.
Sameer Pathak, President – Pickleball World Rankings (A Times Group Company), said, “We are delighted to welcome on board the Adani Group for IPBL’s debut season. Their dedication to nurturing Indian sport aligns with our ambition to scale pickleball with the structure, visibility, and ambition it deserves. Together, we aim to elevate the sport’s journey and set the stage for a league that reflects the energy and potential of a new India.”
Sanjay Adesara, Chief Business Officer, Adani Sportsline, said, “The Adani Group is proud to support the debut edition of the Indian Pickleball League. Pickleball is among India’s fastest-growing sports, and our association reflects our commitment to nurturing emerging talent and building world-class sporting ecosystems. We believe the IPBL has immense potential to scale nationwide and inspire a new generation of athletes.”
The Adani Group has long been committed to boosting India’s athletic environment by developing grassroots infrastructure, cultivating new talent, and offering avenues for athletes to achieve national prominence. With IPBL introducing a new, competitive league format for one of India’s fastest-growing sports, the partnership combines two complementary missions: Adani’s commitment to sport development at the grassroots level and IPBL’s drive to elevate pickleball, resulting in an experience that reinforces the sport’s growing momentum across the country.
Pickleball’s growth in India is mirrored by its expanding international presence. Team India’s unprecedented performance at the Pickleball World Cup 2025 in Florida, winning 25 medals (8 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze) and finishing 7th overall as the only Asian nation in the top ten—has propelled the sport’s national growth.
Stepping in at this critical juncture, the Indian Pickleball League, backed by its collaboration with the Adani Group, launches its inaugural season with conviction and purpose. Together, they hope to elevate one of India’s fastest-growing sports and provide a league experience that is ambitious, modern, and created for today’s India, all while contributing to a long-term ecosystem that boosts the sport’s national footprint.
