India vs West Indies 2022 4th T20I: India registers T20 series win 3-1

In the fourth T20I match of India tour of West Indies 2022, India beat West Indies by 59 runs at the Central Boward Regional Park Stadium in Florida.

West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and asked India to bat first. India went all guns blazing in the first inning as all the batters were only in mood to strike the ball out of the park. Rohit Sharma (33) and Suryakumar Yadav (24) gave a powerful start to the Men in Blue which was followed by Rishabh Pant (44) at number 5. With the strike rate of 141.94, the southpaw smashed six fours . Valuable contributions were also made by Sanju Samson (30) and Axar Patel (20) towards the end of the inning which helped India to reach a total of 191/5.

While chasing, West Indies were getting runs but along with it they were also losing wickets. Nicholas Pooran (24) and Rovman Powell (24) were the only batters who scored beyond 20 runs. Shimron Hetmyer (19) also got a bit of runs under his belt but it wasn’t enough. West Indies were bundled out in just 19.1 overs for just 132 runs.

Arshdeep Singh grabbed three wickets in just 3.1 overs. Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan and Axar Patel also got two wickets each.

On the other hand, for West Indies, Alzarri Joseph and Obed McCoy plucked two wickets each. Akeal Hosein also managed to get one wicket.

Avesh Khan was adjudged Man of the Match for his amazing bowling show. With this win, India have claimed the 5 match T20I T20I series with a game to go.
