The duo, Rohit Sharma (101) and Shubman Gill (112), hammered a quickfire century to give India a strong start. The captain, in his inning, smashed nine fours and six sixes while Gill struck 13 fours and five sixes. In addition, Virat Kohli (36) added a few more runs in the middle, and together with him, Ishan Kishan (17) and Suryakumar Yadav (14) helped India deliver an outstanding score. Although India was scoring runs, the team was also losing wickets at regular intervals.
