India Vs New Zealand 2nd T20I: Match Preview, head-to-head, and streaming details

India have the upper hand in the head-to-head competition between the two teams.

In the New Zealand tour of India 2023, the second T20I will take place on Sunday, January 29, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium (BRSABV) in Lucknow at 7 PM IST.

Team India had a very tough day in the office, as the Blackcaps bamboozled the Men in Blue in Ranchi, beating them by 21 runs in the first T20I. The Indian pacers lacked rhythm and did a lot of damage. Arshdeep Singh’s final over of 27 runs had shifted the momentum towards the Kiwis. The left-arm-pacer was off-colour and had given 51 runs in four overs with one wicket. Umran Malik, Shivam Mavi, and the captain Hardik Pandya too were expensive. Spinners, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav performed well. Indian batters struggled during the chase apart from Suryakumar Yadav and Washington who were the only positives from the first match.

The Blackcaps, on the other hand, will be keeping their spirits up high while going to Lucknow. They will be very satisfied with their performance in the first T20I. A couple of valuable knocks from Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell, and some scintillating spells from their bowlers, especially the skipper Mitchell Santner, helped the team progress in the right direction after a dismal ODI series. The tourists will look for yet another victory on Sunday and seal the series.

Head-to-Head:

India have the upper hand in the head-to-head competition between the two teams. The two sides collided on 23 occasions, with the Men in Blue winning 12 and losing 10.
