The fifth and final T20I match between India and England is slated for tonight, February 2, 2025, at 7 PM IST, at Mumbai’s renowned Wankhede Stadium.
India have already clinched the series after a dramatic 15-run victory in the fourth T20I. However, England hope to conclude the series on a high note, while India will look to demonstrate their domination with a win. With Mumbai’s favourable batting conditions, viewers may expect another high-scoring encounter between two powerful sides.
The Men in Blue have been exceptional throughout the competition, with several players making an impression at critical moments. Shivam Dube and Hardik Pandya‘s stunning innings in the last game allowed India to reach a formidable total of 181, while Ravi Bishnoi and Varun Chakravarthy‘s spin prowess decimated England’s batting lineup. England have struggled to build consistency in the series, despite a few standout efforts. Ben Duckett and Harry Brook showed flashes of brilliance in the fourth T20I, but the squad folded under pressure. The bowling unit, headed by Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid, were unable to restrict India’s resilient batters. With the series already lost, England may play in an aggressive manner in the last match, hoping to cap off on an excellent note.
