India vs England 2025 2nd ODI: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

The Men in Blue have won 59 of 108 ODIs, compared to 44 triumphs by England.

In the second ODI of the three-match series, India will take on England at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack tomorrow, i.e., February 9 at 1:30 PM IST.

Following India’s exciting four-wicket victory in the first ODI, England will be anxious to level the series. Meanwhile, India will look to grab another victory and end the series early. India will go into this encounter with confidence after chasing down England’s total in the first ODI. Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Hardik Pandya were the standouts in the batting department. The fans will once again hope for Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal to offer a strong start. It will be interesting to see if Virat Kohli makes a comeback into the XI. The bowling unit performed admirably in Nagpur, with Ravindra Jadeja, Harshit Rana, and Kuldeep Yadav keeping the English batting order in check. The veteran Mohammad Shami and Axar Patel will also play important roles in limiting England’s aggressive batting order.

England, while losing the opening game, had glimpses of brilliance with the bat. Jos Buttler, Jacob Bethell, and Ben Duckett all delivered key strikes, but the middle order failed to capitalise. Joe Root and Harry Brook will have to step up if England desire to square up the series. The unit’s bowling attack, commanded by Jofra Archer and Saqib Mahmood, failed to contain India’s batting order. Adil Rashid and Jacob Bethell took key wickets, but they will need more help from Brydon Carse and Liam Livingstone to put India under pressure.
