India vs Bangladesh 2022 3rd ODI: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

India are superior in the head-to-head competition between the two teams.

The final ODI of the India tour of Bangladesh 2022 will take place on Saturday, December 10 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram at 11:30 AM IST. The hosts have already sealed the series by winning the first two games.

The tourists won’t be just heading into this fixture on the back of losing the bilateral series but also without their skipper Rohit Sharma. In the second ODI, which was a do-or-die game for the Indians, the bowling unit remained clueless about the exploits of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mohammad Mahmudullah. Chasing 272 on a slow pitch was going to be a task but things became much worse when the Indian batters succumbed to the Bangladeshi bowlers without contributing much. Among the top five batters, only Shreyas Iyer managed to breach the 20-run mark. He was accompanied by Axar Patel, who stitched a big partnership with Iyer and kept his team in the game. The Indian captain walked into bat at number nine, he smashed the bowlers in different parts of the ground and took the game till the last ball. The heroics of Rohit went into vain as India fell short by five runs. The visitors will focus on different aspects of the game ahead of the Saturday fixture to attain a solitary victory in the ODI series.

On the other end, Mehidy Hasan yet again shone for Bangladesh. He outdid himself in the previous game by scoring a scintillating century. He walked out to bat at number eight when the team’s total was 69. He paired up with Mahmudullah to conjure a partnership of 148 runs and stirred Bangladesh in the right direction. Bangladesh also continued their sublime form in the bowling department. They didn’t let the Indians settle down in the chase. Apart from the pasting received from Rohit Sharma, the bowling unit was spot-on throughout the defence. Litton Das will aim for a clean sweep by securing the final game too.

Head-to-head:

India are superior in the head-to-head competition between the two teams. Both sides played against each other on 38 occasions, India won 30 fixtures and lost seven games.
