In the India tour of Ireland 2022, the first game of the two-match T20I series will take place on Sunday, June 26 at the Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin at 9 PM IST.
The Men in Blue will be touring Ireland after four long years. After levelling the series 2-2 against South Africa at home, the Indians must be very confident about the Irish tour. The Indian team will be helmed by the new captain, Hardik Pandya for the upcoming two T20Is. The regular Indian captain, Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant, who captained the team in the last series, are in Leicester for the warm-up game ahead of the Test against England. The Indian unit has a string of newcomers who will be touring Ireland for the first time.
On the other hand, Ireland will have a major task in front of them even when they face the inexperienced Indian team, the players selected have done tremendously well in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. In the last few months, the Irish team has only been pitted against the associate nations, so defeating the Indian team who has currently acquired the number one spot in the T20I rankings will be a big mountain to climb.

The last outing between the two teams took place in 2018 when India won the two-match T20I series by 2-0.
