India vs England 2022 1st T20I: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the India tour of England 2022, the first T20I will be played on Thursday, July 7 at The Rose Bowl in Southampton at 10:30 PM IST.

The regular Indian captain, Rohit Sharma returns to national duty after recovering from COVID-19. On the other end, the new English white-ball skipper, Jos Butler will look forward to clinching his maiden victory as full-time captain of the side on Thursday. Butler was appointed as the captain after Eoin Morgan announced retirement last week. The home team will head into this series on a confident note after levelling the Test series 2-2. The return of T20 specialists, Liam Livingstone, Moeen Ali, Chris Jordan and Jason Roy will be a major plus point for the hosts.

The last outing between the two teams in the shortest format took place in 2021, India won the bilateral series in the subcontinent 3-2.
