In the third and final ODI match of the India Tour of Australia 2025 is all set to be held tomorrow, October 25, at 9 AM, at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney.
India have had a difficult ODI tour in Australia and would be eager to end on a good note. While Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel have excelled, this young team has failed to close out games, especially with the ball. Rohit battled through a difficult start to knock 73 in Adelaide, but Virat Kohli’s successive ducks have raised serious concerns. Both veterans will want to leave Australia on a positive note. Selection changes might give Yashasvi Jaiswal an opportunity, while Kuldeep Yadav and Prasidh Krishna bring bowling strength.
Australia, having already sealed the series, welcomes back first-choice keeper Josh Inglis from a calf injury. Marnus Labuschagne has returned to Brisbane, and Matthew Kuhnemann and Jack Edwards have joined the team for the third ODI. The last time India failed to defeat Australia in a bilateral ODI series was in 1984, when they lost 3-0 at home in five matches.

Australia have demolished India at the SCG in recent years, having won the past three ODIs there. India’s last ODI win at the SCG was in 2016. Australia is also on a six-game winning streak on the pitch, going back to 2018.
