India to host Badminton World Championships 2026; Sudirman Cup 2023 to be hosted by China

The BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 will be held in Suzhou, China as confirmed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

The 2026 BWF World Championship will be held in India and this will only be the second time ever when India will be hosting Badminton’s most prestigious tournament as they hosted it back in 2009 for the first time.

Offering five illustrious events during the tournament that includes the men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles with the winners of each being crowned and hailed as the world champions of the sports.

It is an honour for the country to be able to host such a huge tournament for the second time in its history, furthermore, the BWF Sudirman Cup Finals 2023 will be held in Suzhou, China as confirmed by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

It was earlier decided that China would be hosting the Championship in 2021 but looking at the sensitive situation of the pandemic in the country the venue was of the championships were changed to Vantaa, Finland.

With coveted athletes from all around the world participating, it promises to be an amazing tournament in 2026 which will see India hosting the BWF world championships.

The venues of the tournament have been ever-changing due to the different situations of the pandemic in the country but it seems that it is sure that India will be hosting the tournament in 2026 as the COVID-19 pandemic would hopefully be non-existent by then.
