IMG to showcase Formula E’s past, present, and future

This deal provides IMG with access to over 1,000 hours of footage from the electric racing series' 10-season history.

IMG, a global leader in sports, events, and media, has announced a multi-year agreement granting them exclusive worldwide rights to manage and license the official video archive of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. This deal provides IMG with access to over 1,000 hours of footage from the electric racing series’ 10-season history.

The archive encompasses a wide range of content, including full race coverage, qualifying rounds, pre-season testing, exclusive driver and team interviews, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and highlights showcasing the sport’s evolution. IMG will be responsible for preserving, cataloguing, and licensing this content to broadcasters, media partners, and digital platforms globally, ensuring accessibility for Formula E‘s growing fanbase.

Commenting on the occasion, Aarti Dabas, Chief Media Officer of Formula E, said, “Formula E has always been about pushing boundaries – in technology, sustainability and fan engagement. Partnering with IMG to manage our extensive video archive ensures that the incredible moments from over the past decade of electric racing, as well as those to come, are preserved and made accessible for fans, partners, and storytellers worldwide.”

The agreement coincides with Formula E’s 11th season, which is anticipated to be the most thrilling yet, featuring new race locations and the debut of the GEN3 Evo race car.

The archive will serve as a testament to the electrifying action and sustainable innovation that define the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
