IMG obtains in-ship and in-flight rights to Formula 1

The agreement signals IMG's return to Formula 1 which will go till 2025.

One of the most exclusive car racing tournaments, Formula 1 has announced a new collaboration with the global sports and entertainment company, IMG.

Through this partnership, the company has obtained in-ship and in-flight rights to air Formula 1 on its Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra channels for the following three seasons.

Etihad Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, MSC Cruises, Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, and Silversea are just a few of the airlines and cruise ships that currently offer Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra.

The agreement signals IMG’s return to Formula 1 which will go till 2025. Travelling spectators can watch more than 150 hours of live coverage and highlights from all racing weekends on Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra. Twenty-three races will be held in 2023, which includes the inaugural Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix. The season commences with the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5.
