IMG ARENA, a renowned sports data and technology company, announced a strategic investment in Signality, a Swedish computer intelligence company.
The investment will improve IMG ARENA’s data gathering effectiveness by securing a controlling stake in leading computer vision and camera technology.
IMG ARENA is a sports information and technological hub that caters to the sports, betting, and media ecosystems. IMG ARENA provides livestream and analytical feeds for over 45,000 sporting events each year, as well as on-demand virtual sporting equipment and front-end services, like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Event Centre. This compelling data will underpin both our current and future suite of products for rightsholders and fans alike, combining real-time data, and analytics with innovative front-end solutions to enhance the fan experience,” said, Brad van Wely, Chief Product Officer, IMG ARENA.
Mikael Rousson, co-founder and CEO, Signality, stated,“Signality was born from a vision of enhancing sport at a fundamental level using computer vision technology.
