IGB International School joins Everton’s Academy Affiliate Programme

The Premier League (PL) club, Everton Football Club have announced a strategic affiliation with IGB International School (IGBIS), a prominent educational institution based in Malaysia.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward for both organizations as they join forces to elevate sports education and development.

Under the terms of the partnership, IGBIS will become a member of Everton’s International Academy Affiliate Programme (EIAAP). This affiliation will provide the Malaysian school with unparalleled access to Everton’s world-renowned coaching expertise, curriculum, and support systems.

The collaboration aims to enhance IGBIS’s sports provision by implementing Everton’s proven player development methodologies. Key areas of focus will include curriculum sharing, coach education, and the establishment of robust safeguarding procedures. Everton will provide dedicated coaching support and technical guidance to IGBIS, drawing upon the resources of its state-of-the-art Finch Farm training complex.

Dr Greg Brunton, Head of School of IGB International School, shared his excitement with the new partnership, insisting, “We are thrilled to partner with Everton Football Club.

“As a founding member of the Football League and a Premier League club, Everton aligns perfectly with our values at IGB International School.

“The collaboration, which includes regular consultation between Everton Football Club and the coaches, ensures our program stays updated with the latest trends in football. This will provide our players with professional insights necessary for rapid progression.

“This unique program is the first of its kind for an international school in Malaysia, offering unparalleled opportunities to our players.”

Launched in 2020, Everton’s International Academy Affiliate Club program is a global initiative designed to share the club’s world-renowned youth development expertise. Recently, the club also secured a multi-year partnership with Castore and inked a multi-year partnership with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise subsidiary, HPE Aruba Networking.
