The National Football League (NFL) has announced a new collaboration with an online trading and investments company, IG. As per the accords, the firm will serve as the presenting partner for NFL’s three 2022 regular season games in London.

This new agreement involves recognition for the brand as the lead partner for NFL UK. The deal commences at the start of this season’s opening international game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 2 between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints.

As per the deal, IG will gain brand presence across both the London venues which include Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley Stadium. Moreover, IG will also receive sponsorship rights for the player of the match award. IG will serve as the primary sponsor of Sky Sports’ Sunday NFL coverage in the future along with other programming on the pay-TV provider’s dedicated network.

Furthermore, IG will receive sponsorship idents throughout ITV’s live coverage of the London matches, the advertisement network’s Super Bowl coverage, and the weekly NFL Show highlights.

Following the Vikings-Saints game, the New York Giants will take on the Green Bay Packers on October 9. Later on, Denver Broncos will face Jacksonville Jaguars on October 30.

Henry Hodgson, General Manager of NFL UK, said, “With three games being played in London in 2022, and a focus on growing the game at every level in the UK in the coming years, it is an exciting time of growth for the NFL here. We look forward to working closely with IG in our shared ambitions to help take our game to new audiences.”

Louis Bridger, Head of IG UK, commented, “We’re very excited at the prospect of partnering with the NFL as they continue to grow their audience in the UK. The London games, in particular, are always special occasions, and we can’t wait to play our part in bringing such inspiring experiences to both the fans in attendance and everyone watching at home.”
