ICC to broadcast Men’s T20 World Cup matches in 200 countries

The live telecast of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 will be available in eight different languages in India.

Cricket fans across the globe are about to witness the unparalleled coverage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. The highly anticipated explosive cricket tournament commenced after five years on October 17, 2021.

The T20 World Cup will feature the biggest and the best of teams competing against each other. The tournament will be played in the UAE and Oman, staged by the BCCI with the final of the tournament to be held in Dubai on November 14.

ICC TV is all set to feature the live coverage of all matches of the T20 World Cup 2021. Along with the live coverage, the fans will be able to watch the pre-match show, innings interval and a post-match wrap-up. There is a star-studded commentary line-up with the likes of Daren Sammy who will be joined by Dale Steyn. Shane Watson is set to be the host along with other experienced broadcasters Nasser Hussain, Harsha Bhogle, Sunil Gavaskar, Anjum Chopra, Ian Bishop and Simon Doull.

While speaking about the tournament, Nasser Hussain said: “This is going to be a massive tournament with the world’s top players in action in the fastest evolving format of the international game. Not only do we get to see the leading teams, but we also get a chance to see the emerging teams fancying their chances in the T20 format. I can’t wait for the tournament to being and I’ll enjoy working in these mouth-watering contests.”

The ICC TV broadcast is supported by broadcasting partners Star Sports and equipment service partner NEP Broadcast solution. The viewers are to be treated with state-of-the-art coverage which will see a minimum of 35 cameras and live player tracking provided by Quidich Tracker.

Nearly 10,000 hours of live coverage will be aired across linear and OTT platforms from ICC’s broadcast partners to fans in over 200 countries. For the Indian market, the live coverage will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kanada, Bengali and Malayalam. The coverage of the entire T20 World Cup 2021 has been designed to excite, engage new and existing sets of fans across the globe.
