ICC ODI rankings: Smriti Mandhana drops to 6th, Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami retain prior spots

Indian opener Smriti Mandhana has dropped down two spots among batters in the recent ICC ODI rankings and is currently placed at the sixth position with 732 points. ODI captain Mithali Raj is the only other Indian in the Top 10 of the batting rankings as she maintained her ninth spot with 687 points.

Veteran bowler Jhulan Goswami also retained her fifth rank in the bowling rankings with 691 points. Poonam Yadav (679), Shikha Pandey (675), and Deepti Sharma (639) are the other Indians in the top 10 bowlers ranking as they maintained their respective sixth, seventh, and tenth spots. Sharma also featured in all-rounders rankings as she retained her fourth spot with 359 points.

The ODI batting rankings saw England opener Tammy Beaumont take the top spot as she made a jump of five places after an excellent performance in England’s recent 2-1 victory against New Zealand in a three-match series. After finishing the series with 231 runs (71, 72 not out and 88 not out) Beaumont reached a total of 765 points in the rankings, which took her to the no.1 position for the first time in her 12-year ODI career. She currently enjoys a 16-point lead over Australia captain Meg Lanning.

Australian left-arm spinner Jess Jonassen continued to dominate the bowling rankings as she retained the top spot with 804 points. She is followed by compatriot Megan Schutt, who has 735 points. Meanwhile, Ellyse Perry is leading the all-rounders tally with 460 points along with being eighth best bowler in the world.
