The stage is set for cricket’s biggest spectacle yet. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is poised to be the largest edition in history, featuring 20 teams from six continents battling for the ultimate glory.
Co-hosted by the United States and the West Indies, the tournament kicked off today with the opening match between USA and Canada.
With a trophy drought of 13 years, the Men in Blue under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma will kick off their campaign on June 5 against Ireland. Being the inaugural champion of the competition, the Indian team will aim to claim their second T20I title.
Now, let’s turn our attention to the official partners powering this global cricketing extravaganza.
Premier Partners
Emirates: Soaring high on the list of ICC’s premier partners is Emirates, a global airline headquartered in Dubai, UAE. The air carrier’s long-standing association with the ICC spans major events like the Cricket World Cup (both Men’s and Women’s), World Twenty20, and the World Test Championship. This partnership goes beyond sponsorships, with Emirates branding prominently displayed on the official kit of the ICC Elite and International Umpire panels. Emirates’ commitment goes back to 2002 when the air carrier became the main sponsor upon the formation of the Elite and International Panel of Match Referees officiating international matches.
Thrilled to extend our partnership with @Emirates until 2031! ✈️
