Hyundai and GoSports empower India’s Para-Athletes with Samarth Para-Sports Programme

Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) has joined forces with the GoSports Foundation to launch the Samarth Para-Sports Programme, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at nurturing and supporting 20 promising para-athletes over the next three years.

This comprehensive programme seeks to create a platform for these athletes to excel in their chosen sports and represent India with distinction on the global stage.

The Samarth Para-Sports Programme will focus on eight key disciplines: Para-Athletics, Para-Swimming, Para-Badminton, Wheelchair Tennis, Para-Archery, Para-Rowing, Para-Canoeing, and Para-Cycling. It will provide a holistic support system for both emerging and elite athletes, including financial aid, expert sports science guidance, access to assistive devices, soft skill development, and mentorship from renowned coaches.

By investing in these para-athletes, HMIF aims to not only foster individual growth but also contribute to India’s overall para-sports performance. This programme is expected to inspire countless others with disabilities, promoting inclusivity and demonstrating that with the right support, anyone can achieve their dreams.
