India’s biggest match-winner, Yuvraj Singh celebrates his 40th birthday on December 12, 2021. The legend has represented India in 40 Tests, 31 T20Is and 304 ODIs. The dynamic lefthander from Punjab stole the limelight with his audacious stroke play. India still hasn’t found its replacement yet and how will you? 

Yuvraj Singh arrived at one of the biggest stages of the game against Nairobi in the ICC Champions Trophy 2000 where he scored a magnificent 84. Going ahead, his knock of 69 and partnership alongside another absolute gunner of a fielder, Mohammad Kaif in the 2002 NatWest Trophy final against England helped India register an iconic victory. While being on England, who could forget his colossal six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad.

Endorsements:

Yuvraj Singh has been associated with a fantasy sports platform, Howzat. The southpaw featured in a few advertisements with Irfan Pathan for the brand. The German sportswear company, Puma chose Yuvraj as their brand ambassador in the year 2011 and even today the partnership continues to grow. At some point in time, Yuvraj used to use bats with Puma’s sticker on it.

Another fantasy gaming platform called Balle Bazzi collaborated with the former Indian batsman. Their new campaign “Dum hai toh yahan khel” with the 40-year-old created an urge for fan participation amongst cricket followers. Aakash Institute got Singh on board for their “Success is Waiting” campaign, which was praised as well. Full-stack nutrition brand, WellVersed signed Yuvraj Singh as their brand ambassador in October 2020. 

 Along with Rishabh Pant, Yuvraj was a part of an ad campaign for Cadbury Fuse. And lastly, earlier this month, Designandconstruct.in, a unit of All About Buildings Pvt Ltd, roped in the southpaw as the company’s first-ever brand ambassador. Besides, the name itself is a brand.

The 40-year old’s net worth is currently around 258 crore. In the past few years, the net worth of Yuvraj has increased by about 39%. He lives in a luxury designer house in Chandigarh, which he purchased in the year 2010. The current value of his real estate property is about INR five crore. He also has diverse properties across the nation worth INR 45 Crore. In addition, Yuvraj has a personal investment of INR 120 crore in different areas of interest. He runs different fitness centres and sports centres all over the country.

Investments:

Yuvraj Singh has a knack for investing in startups, as he has financed some of the startups which include Healthians, a company that targets to form a network of over 1000 Healthians’ branded labs in the nation and helps them in enhancing capacity utilisation. He also has invested in the online restaurant reservation platform EazyDiner.

A Bangalore-based automotive services marketplace startup, Cartisan had announced that an undisclosed round of funding was led by Yuvraj’s YouWeCan Ventures.

The former cricketer has also invested in the Gurugram-based Startup Buddy. With this move, Yuvraj will join the company’s Board. JetSetGo, a Delhi-based marketplace for private jets and helicopters which aims to revolutionise the private aviation business, is also backed by the Prince of Punjab. Finally, through YouWeCan Ventures, Yuvraj has backed the Delhi-based mobile beauty and wellness services startup Vyomo, which has raised about $15 million (INR 100Cr) in a Series A round of funding led by salon chain, Naturals.

Charity:

The YouWeCan Foundation is an NGO formed in 2012, it was founded by the former middle-order batsman, the organisation is dedicated to defeating cancer. The NGO donates money to struggling cancer victims who are unable to afford their treatments.
