Happy Birthday Kylian Mbappe: A look at the French striker’s net worth, endorsements and charity

Just like on the football pitch, Mbappe has made his mark on the commercial field too.

One of the fittest and most talented strikers of the new era, Kylian Mbappe turned 24 today i.e. December 20, 2022.

Mbappe commenced his football by taking lessons from his father. He was effective in the Clairefontaine Academy during his youth career. He started his career with AS Bondy and stayed with them for 11 years. He decided to join the Monaco youth team in 2013. He has eight goals for France’s under-19 team. Mbappe made his first-team AS Monaco debut in 2015 when he faced SM Caen.

Mbappe represented France for the first time ever in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification in 2017. At the age of 18, he was the youngest member player in France’s national team history, after Maryan Wisnieski. In the 2018 World Cup qualification, he managed to score his first senior international goal against the Netherlands.

The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) No.7 has established an insatiable desire for records. He has earned the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award three times and completed as the league’s top scorer four times. During an outstanding 2021/22 season, he transitioned into second place on the club’s all-time leading scorer list and concluded the season as the player with the most main objective entanglements in Europe (42). Winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup is his biggest accomplishment so far in his career.

The star football player went toe-to-toe with his PSG mate, Lionel Messi, in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 final a couple of nights ago. Following a splendid performance, he scored a hattrick and almost shackled Messi’s World Cup dream. Mbappe fought like a warrior in the final frontier of the World Cup when the rest of his teammates were outfoxed by the in-form Argentinian players. Mbappe’s heroics went in vain as France fell short in the penalty shootout.

At a very young, Mbappe obtained a massive fan following among football enthusiasts along with some of the renowned international brands. His plethora of endorsement deals has certainly enhanced his brand value. Let’s have a look at the striker’s ventures on the commercial field:

Net Worth:

Kylian Mbappe’s net worth in 2022 is expected to be around $180 million, which is attributed to contracts with France and PSG and his earnings from multiple brand deals.

Mbappe agreed to a three-year contract extension with PSG, where he will reportedly earn £650,000 per week. The 24-year-old is also expected to earn a £100 million signing bonus.

Mbappe also owns a large collection of luxury automobiles, including Ferrari, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Range Rover.

The 2018 World Cup winner has signed with the leading sportswear company, Nike. Since Mbappe’s debut in senior football, the corporation has been his official sports equipment provider. Nike last extended its agreement in July 2017, in a ‘long-term’ deal.

Mbappe also worked with EA Sports, Panini, Hublot, Dior, Sorare, and Oakley in addition to the aforementioned brand.

In 2018, he donated his entire World Cup earnings and bonuses to Premiers de Cordee, a charity that provides sports training to hospitalised and disabled children.

In January 2020, he also initiated his own charitable organization, Inspired by Kylian Mbappe (IBKM), to provide monetary support to 98 children (a nod to his birth year, 1998) from Paris aged 9 to 16. Furthermore, he made a huge donation to the Abbe Pierre Foundation, a charity that assists people who lack adequate housing.
