Beginning off as a medium-pace all-rounder, Harmanpreet rose up through the ranks, quicker than she’d intended, courtesy of solid performances.

Among the veterans like Jhulan Goswami and Amita Sharma, Harmanpreet only had to suffer one discouraging day in the field after another as an aspiring lead bowler.
