Happy Birthday Ajinkya Rahane: A look at the Indian batter’s endorsements, net worth and investment

Ajinkya Rahane has amassed an enormous fortune off the pitch as a result of his achievements on the pitch.

The Indian cricket team’s iconic and dependable batter, Ajinkya Rahane turned 35 today i.e. June 6, 2023.

In the modern era of Indian cricket, where youngsters are all looking stylish with inked arms and styled hair, here comes this quiet lad from Dombivali who manages to maintain the millennial lifestyle intact.

Rahane, the clean-cut boy, pursued cricket like it was a religion, rising through the ranks of junior cricket and into the Ranji mix. He also thrived in the Ranji Trophy, scoring 1089 runs in his second season and beginning to knock on selectors’ doors. The famous Indian batting order, however, had no room for the young player, and Rahane proceeded to glide through the Ranji seasons, breaking previous records and pounding out hundreds on a daily basis.

Once he got that breakthrough, there was no looking back. Following the retirement of legends such as VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid, Indian selectors began the task of grooming young players for the big stage. After a year in and out of the team, and 16 months on the bench, Rahane earned the most coveted commodity of Indian cricket apparel – Test cap number 278.

Rahane, so far, has appeared in 82 Tests for India, scoring 4932 runs at an average of 38.52. Additionally, he has a total of 12 centuries and 25 half-centuries to his name. The right-handed batter scored 2962 runs in 90 ODIs at an average of 35.26, including three centuries and 24 half-centuries. On the flip side, he scored 375 runs at an average of 20.83 in 20 T20Is, including one fifty. India also won the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia under his captaincy in 2020-21.

However, soon after, Rahane was withdrawn from the Indian team after the away series in South Africa in 2022, following a poor run of 15 Tests without a century.

The Mumbai batter recently grabbed the spotlight after outperforming the Assam cricket team at Amingaon Cricket Ground in Guwahati. With 15 boundaries and two sixes, the senior cricketer struck 191 from 302 balls.

Despite his recent domestic form, Ajinkya Rahane was not selected for India’s Border Gavaskar Trophy squad in 2023. Following a terrific performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Rahance received a call from the Indian team ahead of the 2021–2023 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final.
