Ajinkya Rahane, one of India’s finest players and domestic star for Mumbai turned 34 on Monday, June 6.
Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane has previously captained the Indian national cricket team. He is primarily a middle-order batsman in Test cricket and a top-order batsman in white-ball cricket. He was also the vice-captain of India’s Test squad until the home series against New Zealand in 2021.
He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and was bought in auction by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022. He is often called “Jinx” by his teammates.
Rahane has a wonderful Test career representing India. Appearing in 82 matches, he has scored 4931 runs at an average of 38.52 with 12 centuries and 25 half-centuries to his name. He is part of the elite list of players who have scored centuries in both innings of a Test match.
