Hankook Tire extends long-term sponsorships of UEFA Europa League and Conference League

This renewal takes the partnership through the 2026/27 season, marking Hankook Tire's impressive fifth consecutive term as a sponsor of the European competitions.

The South Korean tire giant, Hankook Tire has solidified its long-standing partnership with the UEFA, extending its sponsorship of the Europa League and the Conference League for another three years.

This renewal takes the partnership through the 2026/27 season, marking the tyre giant’s impressive fifth consecutive term as a sponsor.

The renewed deal expands the tyre company’s reach across European football. Additionally, Laufenn, the tyre maker’s second brand, will take on a dedicated sponsorship role with the Conference League, allowing them to build brand awareness in this growing market segment. Furthermore, the manufacturer’s electric vehicle tyre brand, iON, will receive prominent branding throughout both tournaments.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director, said, “We are thrilled that Hankook, the UEFA Europa League’s longest-standing sponsor, will remain a partner for the next three seasons of both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, especially as we enter the new league phase format era of our men’s club competitions. We look forward to building on our fruitful relationship that we have had for more than a decade to further elevate the fan experience while also driving forward our mutual commitment to community engagement.”

Sanghoon Lee, President and COO of Hankook Tire Europe, said, “It is a pleasure to continue our successful partnership with UEFA for another three years to position Hankook Tire as a premium partner also in the sports world. Furthermore, the renewed involvement of our Laufenn brand in the UEFA Conference League also demonstrates the close and trustful relationship we have developed with UEFA over the years. This new competition has already proven to be the perfect platform for raising awareness of our secondary brand in Europe.”

This renewed partnership goes beyond just logo placements. The South Korean tyre manufacturer will continue to activate exciting programs for fans. This includes the popular referee mascot program, where young fans can participate in collaboration with the UEFA Foundation for Children. Fans can also expect interactive digital activations across UEFA’s and Hankook’s channels. A special microsite at hankook.win will offer fans the chance to win tickets and experience the thrill of these prestigious European matches.

Upholding a successful tradition, the leading tyre producer will also sponsor the Player of the Match presentations following the Europa League and Conference League finals. Fans will see prominent displays of Hankook Tire, Laufenn, and iON branding through LED perimeter advertising and media backdrops during television interviews and press conferences.
