Afridi has major shares in some of the leading and largest companies in Pakistan such as MG JW Automobile Pakistan, JoChaho, and Haier Pakistan as well. The businessman is the Managing Director at Haier Pakistan, which indicates the long-term association between the brand and the club.

The kit launch was attended by Javed Afridi and Haier Pakistan’s Head of CSD Feng Xianfa along with Zalmi’s skipper Wahab Riaz and star batsmen Iman-ul-Haq and Kamran Akmal were also present there.  At the ceremony, the Zalmi owner Javed Afridi acknowledged Haier Pakistan for supporting and providing sponsorships to domestic cricket and Pakistan national team even when the latter was playing all its home series abroad. Afridi further added, “We’re delighted with this agreement and Peshawar Zalmi and Haier Pakistan will keep on playing our part for the promotion of cricket and sports in Pakistan.”

Haier Pakistan’s Mr. Feng also expressed his delight about the new deal with the cricket team, describing it as a winning partnership. He said, “Both Haier and Peshawar Zalmi have objectives and aims that are aligned, and together we can help each other achieve those aims. Peshawar Zalmi is the biggest sports entity in Pakistan and it is a great feeling to partner with them once again.”
