Gumbuya World Theme Park, the Victoria-based outdoor theme park and wildlife attraction, has recommitted as the Melbourne Stars’ hydration partner for the ongoing Big Bash League Season 15, extending its association with the club across Australia’s peak summer cricket window.
The renewed agreement sees Gumbuya World continue to provide hydration support across the Melbourne Stars’ men’s and women’s programs, covering both the Big Bash League and Women’s Big Bash League seasons. The partnership spans matchdays, training environments, and selected club activities, ensuring consistent operational support across elite performance settings.
Commenting on the occasion, Melbourne Stars General Manager, Max Abbott, said, “I know a number of our players and their families had an outstanding experience visiting the Theme Park last summer, enjoying the rides, the Oasis Springs, and wildlife.
“On behalf of the Stars, I’d like to thank the team at Gumbuya World for their support of our WBBL and BBL teams, and I know our players can’t wait to return with their families this summer.”
Kirsty Balthazaar-Proctor, Head of Marketing at Gumbuya World Theme Park, added, “After an incredible first year, we’re excited to build on our partnership with the Melbourne Stars and dial up the summer fun even more.
“We can’t wait to welcome Stars families back to beat the heat, make a splash, and have their coolest summer yet.”
Gumbuya World has been an established partner of the Stars in recent seasons, with the relationship built around shared values of active lifestyles, outdoor experiences, and community engagement. The renewal strengthens the theme park’s association with elite summer cricket while reinforcing its presence within Victoria’s sporting landscape.
Under the agreement, Gumbuya World will retain branding visibility across the Stars’ digital platforms, in-venue assets, and club-led marketing activity. The partnership also provides scope for fan-facing promotions and community initiatives throughout the BBL and WBBL campaigns.
From a commercial perspective, the deal reflects the Melbourne Stars’ strategy of retaining aligned local partners alongside national sponsors, delivering consistent exposure during Australia’s most commercially valuable cricket period.
On the field, the Stars’ women’s team enjoyed a strong WBBL campaign, finishing in the top four before exiting in the Knockout against Perth Scorchers Women. The men’s team, featuring Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Tom Curran, Scott Boland, and Haris Rauf, opens their BBL campaign against Hobart Hurricanes on December 18.
