Gulf Oil India & CSK complete ten years of association

Indian Premier League 2020 marks the 10-year association of Gulf Oil India with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The partnership started back in 2011, becoming the longest association for any sponsor-franchise in the history of IPL.

To commemorate this special partnership, Gulf Oil has unveiled a 10th-anniversary jersey as well. Gulf first joined hands with an IPL team in 2010 when they signed an associate sponsorship deal with Kings XI Punjab. It shifted alliances in 2011 by becoming associate sponsors for CSK. Interestingly, it was the same year when MS Dhoni was appointed as brand ambassador for Gulf.

IPL 2020 is very unique since it came at a time when people are struggling with the pandemic and they desperately need some sort of positivity. Secondly, the adoption of digital platforms and technology to engage with fans also make it an intriguing season.

CSK and Gulf Oil are committed to develop more innovative campaigns that will create an impact and leave an impression on the viewers. Both organizations are working on ways to increase engagement with fans.

KS Viswanathan, the CSK CEO said, “Both the brands share a common culture that’s driven by the passion while moving forward. We greatly value our partnership with Gulf Oil and are delighted to reach the milestone of a decade-long relationship.”
