PointsBet added as betting operator for PGA Tour

PointsBet is the latest addition as official betting operator for PGA Tour in a multi-year agreement. As a part of the content and marketing relationship, PointsBet has the rights to use PGA tour marks and advertise the same on social media and partner platforms.

Also, PointsBet becomes the third official betting operator of PGA. It has also secured the rights to produce pre-game and post-game betting rights and exclusively distribute highlights to the fans that’ve placed their respective bets.

PGA Tour and PointsBet will also work together to deliver content to the fans via the website and the official app of PGA Tour as an exercise to engage fans and user experience.

Norb Gambuzza, the PGA Tour’s senior vice-president, media business development said, “PointsBet has made a substantial commitment to golf through a deep and robust product offering and an emphasis on live, in-play betting, both of which will translate into greater audience development and fan engagement for the PGA Tour. PointsBet’s golf products are experiencing incredible growth, which lays the foundation for a very successful relationship.”

PointsBet is currently operating in New Jersey, Indiana and Iowa and is all set to launch in Illinois, Colorado and Michigan. Last year, the PGA Tour signed a scoring distribution deal with IMG Arena, the sports betting unit of the IMG agency. On the integrity side, the Tour works with Genius Sports to protect its competitions from betting-related corruption.
