Rugby in India received a significant boost as the GMR Rugby Premier League‘s (RPL) first season began in Mumbai at the Andheri Sports Complex.
With six franchises battling it out on the pitch for the top prize, a slew of prominent global companies are making their presence known through dedicated sponsorship for the tournament.
The Rugby Premier League’s debut season boasts some of the sport’s greatest stars, with GMR serving as the title sponsor. One of the largest and most recognised financial organisations, HSBC, has also joined as a powered by partner. Furthermore, Hospitality behemoth Encalm, infrastructure firm Megawide, and aviation specialists Waisl have all signed on as associate sponsors for the GMR RPL Season 1.
The tournament’s official partners include Capgemini, Bisleri, Hero Fincorp, JSW Cement, Amul, Dream11, Pushpak, Wintex, Nanavati Max, and Capital Group.
Innovators in IT Capgemini joins this rugby journey as transformation partners, Bisleri as hydration partners, and Dream11 as fantasy sports partners. Pushpak expanded its role as the equipment leasing partner, while Nanavati Max has joined as the medical partner.
Capital Group is the outdoor media partner, and Radio Mirchi, one of the most renowned radio stations, is the radio partner.
Furthermore, Star Sports Select 1 is the official broadcaster, with JioHotstar serving as the official digital streaming partner. Last but not least, Rugby Pass TV network is an online global broadcaster.
