The Global Chess League (GCL), a collaboration between Tech Mahindra and FIDE, has partnered with BMC Helix, a global leader in digital enterprise solutions, to integrate AI-powered intelligence and automation into its IT infrastructure.

This alliance will ensure that every move, match, and moment proceeds well for players, organisers, and league fans throughout the world.

As one of the world’s most technologically advanced athletic leagues, the Global Chess League is constantly redefining how chess is played and enjoyed. Through its cooperation with BMC Helix, the league will use BMC Helix AIOps, the company’s AI-powered platform for intelligent service and operations management. The system employs predictive analytics and automation to ensure that operations run well, resulting in uninterrupted games, dependable broadcasts, and a better experience for players, organisers, and spectators globally.

Peeyush Dubey, Chairperson, Tech Mahindra Global Chess League, said, “Every move in chess is about foresight, precision, and timing, and those same principles guide the operations at GCL. Partnering with BMC Helix allows us to build a digital backbone that mirrors the intelligence of the game itself. Together, we’re setting a new standard for how sport and technology can work in perfect synchrony.”

As chess grows into a fully technologically enabled global sport, the partnership emphasises GCL’s unique position at the nexus of culture, competitiveness, and connectivity. The league’s upcoming season will include improved broadcast formats, multilingual narratives and inclusive engagement zones, giving fans more opportunities to enjoy the game. Additionally, GCL Season 3, which will run from December 13 to 24, 2025, intends to engage spectators through immersive digital activations and worldwide fan challenges.

Shwetha Sanjeev, Area Vice President – GOSI International, BMC Helix, said, “The Global Chess League reflects a unique blend of strategy and innovation, and our collaboration brings that philosophy to life through technology. With AI-driven insights and predictive service and operations management, we’re helping ensure every match runs smoothly, allowing players to focus on their game and fans to enjoy a truly connected experience.”

Season 3 of the Global Chess League will not only bring together the world’s finest male, female, and prodigy players in its characteristic mixed-team inclusive structure, but will also improve how the sport is perceived and rewarded. GCL is changing how spectators interact with chess, both on-site and online, with premium fan lounges, Superfan initiatives, and immersive digital zones. The league’s tech-driven, economically viable strategy provides unparalleled prospects by combining innovation, entertainment, and diversity to create a truly global sporting franchise.
