The English county cricket club, Glamorgan County Cricket Club has announced a partnership renewal with one of the UK’s leading independent food wholesalers, Castell Howell Foods.
The agreement represents a further accomplishment in their successful 13-year relationship. To commemorate the renewed collaboration, a freshly branded Castell Howell lorry with the Glamorgan emblem and players will be driving around Wales.
Castell Howell Foods began operations in a tiny rural area in 1988 and has expanded to become Wales’ premier independent food-service distributor, serving the entire country as well as the South West of England.
Ed Rice, Head of Commercial, Glamorgan County Cricket Club, said, “We are proud to renew our partnership with Castell Howell Foods. They’re a long-standing partner and their continued support is important to the club. This fun campaign is a fantastic way to engage our fans and the wider community, bringing some excitement and joy to the streets of Wales.”
The two entities have joined forces to provide a thrilling ‘Spot the Lorry’ contest as part of the celebration, encouraging the public to enter for a chance to win a Glamorgan Cricket Membership for the 2025 campaign.
People can have the opportunity to win a stunning reward by spotting the branded Castell Howell Foods lorry as it drives throughout Wales, capturing it, and sharing it on X (Twitter) with the hashtag #SpotTheLorry and tagging ‘@GlamCricket’ and ‘@CastellHowell.’ The lorry will drive all over Wales in August after visiting several spots in Cardiff throughout July.
Matt Lewis, Managing Director, Castell Howell Foods, said, “Our continued collaboration with Glamorgan County Cricket Club is something we are incredibly proud of. The ‘Spot the Lorry’ campaign is a unique opportunity to celebrate this partnership and connect with our community in a fun and interactive way.”
