Girona FC forge three-year commercial pact with Etihad Airways

Etihad's logo will be prominently displayed at the Estadi Montilivi and on Girona FC's uniforms.

The LALIGA team, Girona FC have announced a partnership with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates.

Following this deal, Etihad Airways has been named the club’s main shirt sponsor from next season onwards.

As part of a three-year contract that concludes after the 2026–27 season, Etihad’s logo will be prominently displayed at the Estadi Montilivi, the LALIGA team’s stadium, and on the team’s uniforms.

The arrangement will also cover fan experiences such as marketing and special events.

Notably, Etihad currently also sponsors Manchester City, New York City FC, and Melbourne City FC, all owned by the City Football Group, which also owns Girona.

Girona’s new collaboration with Etihad comes after a highly successful season in LALIGA, where the team finished third and qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the upcoming season.

Talking about the airline firm, it also collaborated with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners. As part of the deal, the brand’s logo was featured on the back of the jersey.
