GFA elongates collaboration with Betway

Following this deal, Betway's branding across the nation will prolong as it has retained the title of official development partner of the Ghana Women's Premier League in the nation.

The official football governing body of Ghana, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced a new sponsorship extension with the online gaming and betting company, Betway.

Following this deal, the operator’s branding across the nation will prolong as it has retained the title of official development partner of the Ghana Women’s Premier League in the nation. The operator has organised multiple leadership, governance, and operational skills training workshops. The two have stated their intention to continue equipping and upskilling women’s football executives and trainers.

This is an extension of the mentorship and training course for participating teams from the previous season.

GFA General Secretary Prosper, Harrison Addo, commented, “The Ghana Football Association is extremely happy that we have been able to renew our relationship with our cherished official development partner for the Women’s Premier League. Working together with Betway, we will continue to make improvements in our Women’s Football. The developmental support will help us bridge the resources gap between men and women football. The recent improvements in women’s football have started yielding great results.”

One of the top international businesses in online betting and gaming, Betway Group was established in 2006 and currently operates in several regulated marketplaces all over the world. Super Group, the holding company for Betway and Spin, a multi-brand online casino service, is the owner of Betway.

Kwabena Oppong Nkrumah, Country Manager at Betway, said, “We are delighted to announce an extension of our sponsorship with the Ghana Football Association for the Women’s Premier League. Through our sports sponsorships, we have demonstrated our commitment to the development of sports since our inception in Ghana. Our goal is to help grow our women’s football in Ghana and develop interest in the game.”
