The Serie A club, Genoa Cricket and Football Club (Genoa CFC) have announced a partnership extension with MSC Cruises, one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing cruise brands.
As part of the deal, for the 2024-25 season, the brand will receive brand placement on the back of the men’s team’s match shirts. The deal includes both, Serie A and Coppa Italia.
Ricciardella, Chief Operating Officer of Genoa, commented, “We are grateful for the extraordinary contribution that MSC Cruises brings to the area and aware of the importance that this synergy represents for our club. The continuity and growth of the partnership over the years has a special meaning, just like the space on the back of the competition uniforms, in which MSC will appear as a back-sponsor. Our heartfelt thanks go to the company and the management of the Company. We would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm greeting to all the staff who work for MSC in Genoa and other locations in Liguria.”
Leonardo Massa, Vice President Southern Europe of MSC Cruises, said, “We are particularly pleased to renew our partnership with Genoa CFC, the oldest football club in Italy and one of the most renowned internationally for its glorious tradition. We are supporting the club also in this football season which we hope will bring success and satisfaction to the rossoblù team. The sponsorship of Genoa further strengthens the strong relationship between MSC Cruises and the city of Genoa, the capital of Italian and Mediterranean shipping, which has always been our Company’s main port on an international level.”
MSC Cruises, based in Geneva, is the globe’s third-biggest cruise line and the market leader in Italy, Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Southern Africa, with a significant and rising presence in North America and the Far East.
Prior to last season, the brand also collaborated with another Italian giant AC Milan as their principal partner and official sleeve partner in an effort to increase visibility in sports, particularly in football.
Recently, Genoa CFC also partnered with Acqua Fiuggi, a leading Italian mineral water brand.
