The partnership’s strategic goals include leveraging the global appeal of F1 to promote blockchain technology and digital finance to a wider audience. Gate.io’s branding will enjoy extensive exposure throughout the F1 calendar, reinforcing its status as a key player in the cryptocurrency exchange landscape.
Founded in 2013, Gate.io boasts a user base exceeding 20 million globally and is recognized as one of the world’s oldest and most established cryptocurrency exchanges. Over the past 12 years, the company has evolved beyond simple trading to become a comprehensive blockchain ecosystem, driving innovation in secure digital asset trading, decentralized finance (DeFi), blockchain infrastructure, venture capital investment, and Web3 technologies. Gate.io’s sponsorship portfolio also includes a partnership with Serie A champions, Inter Milan.
Gate.io joins Maui Jim as one of Red Bull’s newest partners. The 2024 F1 season saw Verstappen secure his fourth consecutive World Championship title with a dominant performance. However, despite Verstappen’s individual success, the team finished third in the Constructors’ Championship. For the 2025 season, Red Bull aims to build on Verstappen’s achievements and regain the Constructors’ Championship title. Rookie driver Liam Lawson joins the team, racing alongside Verstappen. The 2025 season begins with pre-season testing in Sakhir, Bahrain, on February 26, followed by the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.
