The Global Chess League (GCL) franchise, American Gambits, have announced FYERS, a leading technology-driven investment and trading platform, as its title sponsor ahead of the upcoming season in December 2025.

The multi-year partnership marks a significant alliance between two domains, professional chess and financial technology, built on intellect, analysis, and precision.

As part of the agreement, FYERS will feature prominently on the American Gambits jersey and collaborate with the team to advance chess as a data-driven, globally appealing sport.

At the official announcement event, the team unveiled its new jersey showcasing FYERS’ branding. Both organisations highlighted their shared commitment to strategic thinking, composure under pressure, and decision-making built on logic and foresight, principles central to both chess and investing.

Speaking on the occasion, Prachura PP, Co-owner of American Gambits, said, “FYERS embodies the same spirit that drives American Gambits, which is strategic thinking, precision, and bold decision-making under pressure. Our partnership represents more than just sponsorship; it’s a shared vision to position chess as a modern, data-driven, and aspirational sport. Together, we aim to build a long-term ecosystem that nurtures analytical thinking and celebrates India’s growing influence on the global chess map as well.”

Tejas Khoday, Co-Founder & CEO, FYERS, added, “Chess mirrors the mindset required in trading and investing by thinking several moves ahead, assessing risk, and staying composed under pressure. Every decision on the chessboard is much like in the markets; it is about balancing logic and intuition. At FYERS, we have built a culture around this discipline, where strategy, analysis, and patience come together to create better outcomes. This partnership is our way of celebrating that shared spirit of intelligent decision-making and continuous learning.”

Lucky Saini, Senior Vice President & Marketing Head, FYERS, continued, “We see this partnership as more than just a branding exercise; it’s a meeting of two worlds that thrive on focus, timing, and calculated risk-taking. Chess teaches players to anticipate, adapt, and act with conviction, which are the same traits that define successful traders and investors. Through this partnership with the American Gambits, we aim to tell stories that inspire people to think strategically both on the board and in the markets and to engage with a community that values intellect and discipline.”

R Ashwin, former India cricketer and Co-owner of American Gambits, concluded with “Chess as a sport has always been very close to my heart, and we, the American Gambits, are elated to have FYERS on board as we look to create a robust ecosystem for the sport. The passion and enthusiasm from the FYERS team have truly been incredible to see, and we are confident that this association will be a storied one over the years.”

The collaboration comes at a pivotal time for Indian chess, which is witnessing rapid commercial growth. Industry reports suggest sponsorship interest in the sport has reached record highs, driven by a surge in viewership and the continued success of Indian players on the global circuit.

The Global Chess League, a joint venture between Tech Mahindra and FIDE, returns for its third season from 13 to 24 December 2025 in Mumbai. The tournament brings together the world’s leading grandmasters in a team-based format designed to make chess more accessible and engaging for global audiences through live broadcasts and interactive storytelling.

With FYERS as Title Sponsor, the American Gambits are poised to strengthen both their competitive edge and fan engagement, positioning chess as a platform for strategic excellence and intellectual entertainment in the modern sporting landscape.
