Future Generali India Insurance Company (FGII) has started the third phase of the #HealthInsideOut campaign. In this phase, they have launched a five-part mini video series called ‘Mind Matters’ in which India’s top sports stars will feature. An advertising agency What’s Your Problem (a Wondrlab company) would conceptualize it.
In this mini-series, these icons from various sports such as cricket, football, tennis, and shooting will talk about their struggles. Players will also share their stories about how they dealt with depression and anxiety.
Ruchika Varma, chief marketing officer, Future Generali India Insurance, said, “Sports celebrities are perfect role models as they bring alive the importance of mental health issues in sports, a profession where one would think that physical health is the most important.”
It would be a 10-15 minute long video series that is being promoted across social media and other digital platforms. The series features some of the biggest Indian sports stars such as footballer Sunil Chhetri, tennis player Sania Mirza, cricketers like Robin Uthappa and Cheteshwar Pujara, and Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra.
The first episode is about Sunil Chhetri, who’s the captain of the Indian National Football team and also the captain of Bengaluru FC. The 36-year-old footballer would share his struggle stories and how he used to deal with mental health problems.
Rakesh Hinduja, co-founder and managing partner- content platform at Wondrlab, admitted that people will get more courage to tackle mental health issues when they hear from their sporting heroes. He also made sure that videos are able to stick with the attention span instead of going overboard with longer and taxing videos.
