Fulham FC, one of England’s most historic football clubs, have announced a partnership with Oracle Cloud, a cloud computing service offered by Oracle Corporation.
As part of the pact, the firm has become the club’s official point of sale (POS) and payments provider. The club will install Oracle Simphony Cloud POS and Payments Cloud Service at the stadium in Craven Cottage and the eateries at Fulham Pier, a brand-new riverfront entertainment destination in London, for the forthcoming season.
The club and Fulham Pier will be able to plan more effectively and meet the specific needs of its year-round visitors, whether they are football fans, casual diners, or gig and event attendees, thanks to the modern tech stack, which will also improve the payment experience for visitors.
This strategic step demonstrates the club’s dedication to innovation, future-proofing its operations, and strengthening its position as a leader in sports, entertainment, and hospitality.
Darren Preston, Chief Operating Officer, Fulham FC, said, “The implementation of Oracle’s cloud technology is the next step in transforming our properties into a premier London lifestyle destination. From unparalleled matchday experiences, to laid-back, stylish places to gather, we are excited to provide our fans and guests with a seamless, modern ordering and payments experience that reduces queues and enables visitors to spend more time immersing themselves in the exciting atmosphere and activities throughout our venue.”
Furthermore, Oracle Restaurant solutions will provide variable configurations and contactless payments to match the demands of each venue, ranging from grab-and-go stadium concessions to handheld devices that allow waiters at the Pier’s upscale restaurants to provide exceptional table-side service. Fulham FC will also employ Oracle Workstation 8 and Kitchen Display Systems to aid with cost management, waste reduction, and effective order fulfilment across all channels. Simphony’s built-in analytics will help the club better analyse dining habits, fan preferences, and inventory trends. It will allow the club to make adjustments as needed to cut waste and costs, as well as consider features like real-time promotions that may sell merchandise while satisfying customers.
Alex Alt, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Oracle Consumer Industries, said, “Fulham Football Club is leading the way in sports and entertainment, creating a world-class, year-round destination experience with Oracle modern ordering and payments solutions. By leveraging data insights across their venues, Fulham can continually adapt to the changing needs of their guests, delivering memorable outings that keep fans, local residents, and visitors coming back time and time again.”
