FTX.US inches closer to be the official crypto partner of ICC World Cups: Reports

The agreement is said to be a multi-year deal.

The famous Crypto brand FTX.US is reportedly close to partnering up with the ICC as the official partner and crypto partner of the upcoming ICC World Cups, according to Sportsmint sources. 

The agreement is reportedly considered to be a multi-year deal. The collaboration will include the upcoming T20 World cup in October, the T20 World Cup in Australia next year and also the ODI World Cup, which is to be held in India in 2023. 

Over the past few months, several crypto platforms have joined the bandwagon as sponsors and crypto partners for the various sports leagues and teams. FTX.US’ partnership with the ICC for the marquee cricketing events will be highly beneficial for the crypto company in terms of recognition.

Through the partnership, FTX.US will try and expand its brand presence and get global media exposure in cricket viewing nations.

FTX had recently signed the largest-ever E-Sport sponsorship deal with Team SoloMid (TSM), which is worth reported to be around $210 million. They were also the first cryptocurrency exchange to sponsor a professional sports league by agreeing to a reported five-year partnership with Major League Baseball.

FTX also became the first crypto company to sign a college sports sponsorship deal. They signed a $17.5M deal to sponsor UC-Berkeley Athletic Department.

Talking about the crypto and blockchain partnership in cricket, there are also many platforms joining this bandwagon. As we recently saw CoinDCX became the official title sponsor of the bilateral series between India and Sri Lanka. CoinDCX also became the official jersey sponsor for Ireland Cricket Team.

Even the famous crypto platform Socios.com had recently entered into partnerships with three Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Kolkata Knight Riders. They also partnered with the Caribbean Premier League for increasing their fan engagement.

This new partnership will also be a huge financial boost for the ICC as it will add to their latest partnership and sponsorship portfolios as well. The council had also recently announced various partnerships with Upstox, BharatPe and BYJU’s.
