Formula E assigns media rights to Nine Entertainment

The 2022 edition of the Formula E tournament has begun on January 28 at Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

The all-electric motorsport organization, Formula E, has teamed up with the notable media unit, Nine Entertainment for the coverage of season eight of ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Australia. It is a multi-year partnership that would include the subsidiary networks of the media giant, Stan Sport and 9Network.

Under this association, Stan Sport will cover and air all the 16 rounds of the thrilling series live, ad-free and on-demand for the Australian racing enthusiasts. The fans can also witness the exclusive highlights of the iconic competition on their linear channel 9Network.

The Director of sport at Stan Sport, Ben Kimber, commented on this association and said, “Formula E is an excellent addition to our growing motorsport lineup. With a great variety of racing already on Stan Sport, Formula E showcases the future of the sport in a slick, engaging and seriously fast series our viewers will love.”

Formula E’s chief media officer, Aarti Dabas, also gave her views on the deal and said, “Our passionate fans will be able to enjoy all 16 races live and ad-free along with live coverage of our new knock out duels qualifying format. Plus, we’re looking forward to introducing new fans to our sport with highlights of every race airing on free-to-air TV with the 9Network. Australian motorsport fans can look forward to the thrills and drama of electric racing in the heart of iconic world cities in our biggest race calendar yet.”

The 2022 edition of the Formula E tournament has begun on January 28 at Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. The competition will include some prominent host cities such as Mexico City, Rome, Monaco, Berlin, New York and London.

With this collaboration, the motorsport league further enhanced its outreach and connectivity for the ongoing tournament. Recently it had also assigned media rights to some popular networks such as Channel 4 and La Chain L’Equipe.
