Formula 1 signs a multi-year extension with Fox Sports Mexico

The partnership renewal between Formula 1 and Fox Sports Mexico has been inked for three years.

Formula 1 has signed the media rights extension with the pay television network operated by Grupo Multimedia Lauman, Fox Sports Mexico.

The partnership renewal has been inked for three years and the broadcast rights agreement will be applicable till the end of the 2025 season.

In this development, Fox Sports Mexico will prolong to provide the coverage of Formula 1 events in North American countries, which includes Grand Prix races, qualifying rounds, free practices and sprints.

This newly unveiled extension has been followed by Formula 1’s announcement which it made earlier this year that its calendar will contain Mexico Grand Prix until 2025.

“It’s a great time to be a Formula One fan, and the future looks bright,” said Ian Holmes, Director of Media Rights and Content Creation at Formula 1.

“These partnership agreements are a statement of our intent to grow and develop our global fanbase by delivering best in country broadcasting and bringing Formula One to new audiences.

“The 2023 season will see plenty more drama and excitement, so I’m pleased that fans in Mexico and Belgium will be able to experience everything the sport has to offer.”

Prior to this development, the global motorsport event also renewed its association with the Telenet-owned broadcaster, Play Sports. In this arrangement, Play Sports will provide coverage of Formula 1 events in Belgium for the upcoming two editions.
