Formula 1 has teamed up with Madrid-based fashion and lifestyle brand Pompeii to launch an official capsule collection ahead of the inaugural Madrid Grand Prix, combining the championship’s motorsport heritage with the Spanish brand’s contemporary streetwear aesthetic.

The nine-piece unisex collection draws inspiration from historic Formula 1 racing apparel and garage culture. The range features the Pit Crew Jacket, Mechanic Shirt and Glove Graphic T-Shirt, alongside a Racing Knit Jumper, Racing Zip Hoodie, Racing Football Jersey, Grand Prix Cap and other race-specific apparel.

The collection forms part of a wider programme of activations in Madrid during Grand Prix week. Pompeii’s flagship store will host an F1-themed exhibition from September 10 to 13, featuring archival photography, historic content and motorsport memorabilia alongside the new collection.

Formula 1 will also partner with The Coffee Party for an invite-only Paddock Club experience at Acid Bakehouse, bringing together speciality coffee, music and Grand Prix hospitality.

Commenting on the partnership, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1, Emily Prazer, said, “This debut collection with Pompeii is about bringing Formula 1 to a whole new generation of fans and celebrating the incredible energy around the sport’s return to Madrid. Formula 1 and Pompeii are two brands with a shared sense of culture, creativity and attitude, so this collaboration really felt like a natural fit. We’re excited to see the collection launched to the world through a series of immersive activations during race week– giving fans more ways to experience the world of Formula 1 with Pompeii.”

Co-Founder at Pompeii, Cosme Bergareche, added, “Sport has always been a huge part of Pompeii. We’re constantly inspired by the culture that surrounds it, not only what happens on the field, the court or the track, but everything around it. Our approach has always been to bring that world into fashion through a more refined, considered lens, and Formula 1 felt like a perfect expression of that. There’s a unique sense of style, heritage and emotion around the sport that goes far beyond racing. And for us, being a brand born in Madrid, there was something particularly special about welcoming Formula 1 back to our city. We wanted to celebrate that moment in our own way, creating a collection that feels true to Formula 1, true to Madrid, and true to Pompeii,” Bergareche stated.

The partnership arrives as Formula 1 enters the decisive phase of its 2026 championship. Following the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, Mercedes leads the Constructors’ Championship with 468 points, ahead of Ferrari on 346 and McLaren on 287. Kimi Antonelli heads the Drivers’ Championship with 267 points, 66 ahead of teammate George Russell, while Lewis Hamilton sits third on 191.

The collaboration underlines Formula 1’s expanding commercial strategy around fashion, lifestyle and youth culture, while giving the championship a locally relevant platform to build anticipation around its new Madrid race.
