Ford Dealer Network partners with WNBL in major boost for women’s basketball ahead of 2024-25 season

The Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) has secured a landmark partnership with the Ford Dealer Network ahead of its 2024-25 season, marking a significant investment in Australian women’s sports.

This collaboration highlights the Ford Dealer Network’s growing commitment to advancing women’s basketball, enhancing the WNBL’s visibility, and supporting its talented athletes. As a major partner, Ford will have a prominent role in driving the promotion of the WNBL through branding opportunities, community outreach, and support for league events.

Cameron McLeish, Chairman of the Ford Dealership Advertising Fund, expressed excitement about the partnership and said, “Today, we are proud to announce the Ford Dealer Network as a Major Partner of the WNBL and look forward to watching the athletes compete in the 24/25 Season.

“Joining the WNBL was a natural progression for us as it represents the best in Australian professional basketball, and role models for young people in local communities to look up to.

With over 170 dealerships across Australia, the Ford Dealer Network has been a longstanding supporter of basketball. This latest partnership with the WNBL reinforces Ford’s dedication to supporting women’s basketball at the elite level, with a strong focus on grassroots initiatives.

Founded in 1980, the Women’s National Basketball League is Australia’s premier professional sports league for women. It has played a critical role in developing world-class talent and serves as a key pathway for the Australian national team. The season tips off on October 30 with Geelong Supercats facing off against Townsville Fire.
