Inter Milan extends contract with Volvo

Italian football giants, Inter Milan have extended the sponsorship deal with the automobile brand Volvo. The association started back in 2007 and will run till 2020-21 season.

As per the agreement, Volvo will continue to supply cars to the club with the inclusion of XC90 T8 Plug-in Hybrid, the flagship model of Volvo’s Recharge range which contains a rechargeable hybrid engine. The main focus is on the sustainability of the vehicles.

SportsMint learnt from its sources that the previous deal between the two organizations was termed around $1.1m per season. Recently Inter Milan has strengthened its sponsorship portfolio by signing with a wide array of brands.

It signed a regional sponsorship deal with top-up and payment services brand Snaipay, followed by a multi-year agreement with EA Sports as ‘Official Video Games Partner’. The club has recently signed its first ever sleeve sponsorship contract with Australian forex provider IC Markets for three-seasons till 2022-23.
