Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Logan Paul: Boxing Bout Payout Revealed

In what was one of the most expensive fights in boxing history, Floyd Mayweather Jr. took on Logan Paul in an eight-round exhibition bout at the iconic Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. The match ended without a result as it was an exhibition match without judges or a scorecard. The only way a winner was possible was via a knockout, which Mayweather, a boxing legend, decided to avoid since Paul is a YouTube star with just one boxing match to his name.

Both Mayweather and Paul have earned millions from this showpiece main event, part of the Showtime pay-per-view. Paul was not the only non-boxer to take part in the PPV, as National Football League star Chad Johnson also decided to participate and take on pro fighter Brian Maxwell.

As per TMZ Sports, Mayweather had already confirmed he had pocketed a cool $30 million for the fight. The Athletic later reported this could be from sponsorship on his boxing shorts. Additionally, he is expected to earn anywhere between $20 million to $70 million, potentially taking the earnings from the match to the $100 million mark.

Meanwhile, Logan Paul is expecting to earn $20 million from that match. The exact figures will only be confirmed after Showtime’s pay-per-view earnings are released.

Mayweather is one of the most bankable sporting stars globally and has reportedly earned more than $1.2 billion in his career so far. His net worth is estimated to be around $450 million, making him one of the highest-paid athletes in the world. He has now retired from professional boxing with an undefeated record of 50-0.

Meanwhile, Paul has a net worth of around $20 million, and will in likelihood double it with the payout from this match. The only professional boxing bout he contested was against another Youtube star and rapper KSI in 2019, which he lost.
