The FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup 2027 has appointed Horizon Sports & Experiences (HS&E) as its exclusive sponsorship sales and media rights agency in the United States, reinforcing the tournament’s commercial ambitions as it prepares for its debut across North America.

Under the agreement, HS&E will oversee the sale of sponsorship inventory and media rights in the U.S. market, working to attract brand partners and broadcasters ahead of what is expected to be one of the most commercially significant events in women’s volleyball history.

The tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States and Canada in August and September 2027, will feature 32 national teams and serve as a key qualification pathway for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The event will also mark the first edition contested under the new FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup branding.

The appointment comes as women’s volleyball continues to experience rapid global growth. The 2025 Women’s Volleyball World Championship in Thailand generated 803 million cumulative viewers across live and repeat broadcasts, surpassing the audience achieved by the men’s edition in the same cycle. The tournament also delivered 3.8 billion social media impressions, with 78% of its audience aged between 18 and 35 and women accounting for 54% of total viewership, highlighting the sport’s appeal among young and highly engaged fans.

Volleyball World, the commercial arm of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), selected HS&E to drive commercial growth in a market that is increasingly becoming a focal point for global sporting events and women’s sports investment.

Marcelo Hargreaves Da Costa, Chief Product Officer at Volleyball World, added, “The 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Cup will bring together the world’s most talented athletes and showcase the very best of women’s sport on a truly global stage. Volleyball is uniquely positioned, with some of the strongest female role models in sport, deeply engaged fan communities, and growing momentum around the world. As we continue to elevate the event and expand its reach, Horizon Sports & Experiences will be an important partner in helping us connect more fans and brands with these incredible athletes and the stories that make our sport so compelling.”

Craig Thompson, CEO of FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup 2027, added, “Volleyball is positioned to become the next major women’s sport in North America, and the timing couldn’t be better. We’re excited to partner with HS&E to help build the commercial platform and fan activation needed to make the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup 2027 a defining moment for the sport.”

David Levy, Co-CEO/Founder of Horizon Sports & Experiences, shared, “We’re thrilled to partner with Volleyball World and the 2027 Women’s Volleyball World Cup Organising Committee to bring new commercial and consumer awareness to the Women’s Volleyball World Cup and expand our growing portfolio of marquee women’s sports events. As the biggest sporting entities in the world continue to focus on North America as the home of championship-calibre events, this tournament presents a significant opportunity for us to support the expansion of volleyball’s appeal, connect with new audiences, and deliver meaningful value to brand partners.”

For HS&E, the agreement adds another marquee international event to its portfolio and strengthens its position within the rapidly expanding women’s sports marketplace. For Volleyball World and the tournament’s organising committee, the partnership represents a strategic step towards maximising the commercial potential of a championship expected to benefit from increasing investment in women’s sport, strong audience growth and the momentum generated by the upcoming LA28 Olympic Games.
